And, Goes Out Like A Lamb....
My Birthday was on March 29 and Ian decorated the front porch as usual. It was so cold that the helium in the balloons didn't last too long...I almost missed our usual picture..
I love windchimes, so Ian bought one for the front of our home. We have one at the rear...so now, no matter where I am sitting, I can hear chimes. He has me covered, as usual.
Sapporo's was our restaurant of choice as the family took me out for the annual Family Birthday Dinner....they are all smiling because I always choose a place the kids will love, too!
The kids and Ian told the chef that it was my birthday and so, he made me a heart out of the rice....
As a gift, I had asked Ian and the kids to write out my favorite Bible verse in their own handwriting...so, I have I Corinthians 13 written three times. I love it. My thought was that to write such a long passage, they would have to read it.
Ian was exempted and could chose his favorite, so he wrote from Philippians.
Johnson entered Spring Baseball for the last time of his high school year....we have had a lot of fun watching him play....
In our town, the kids "invite" a girl or guy to Prom. Johnson made Shelbi a boquet out of her favorite candies and held it as he asked her if she would be his date.....it was much cuter than this picture reflects!
Ravenwood Castle in Ohio
What girl doesn't like a good, real castle? Ian did good on this surprise gift for my birthday!
Our room was on the far left, way up high with a little Princess balcony. LOVE IT!
I love a good museum, so while we were visiting the Castle, we headed toward the nearest town and took in a museum...imagine that! They actually had one!
Our castle's resident armour guard...
More museum shots. The museum reminded me of an old, mental health hospital back in Lexington. The outdoor was a spooky elegant...
Back at the castle for the evening, I loved how even the shrubs served as artwork. There was a little low maze in the back yard....
We said goodbye to the Kennedy Museum of Art....but, it was lovely
