Update on Lesa - September 17, 2014

Great news is that at today's cystogram there was no leakage from my bladder as per the x-ray.  Praise God for that great news!!!

The 'we're not done yet" news is that at my surgeon's office, the "blue dye" exam did indicate I have a very small leakage still.  My surgeon stated that she sees this, if not often, more times than you would imagine and that she has every hope and expectation that in three weeks, Oct. 8, 2014, I will be totally healed.  She mentioned that the "old school" medicine would have not even looked at me after only 3 weeks so reverting back to the old school mentality of 6 weeks makes sense.

She also said the leakage is very small and could be caused by a host of things, all of which, given more time, will likely heal.  Thus, I still have a supra pubic catheter (sorry if that's TMI, but that is why I posted this as a blog).  Frankly, it is more of a nuisance and really does not cause much pain.
So, while the news was not perfect healing TODAY, I told Ian, and I'll share with all of you, our prayer-warriors, that I FINALLY have peace….

I did not have peace after the first surgery, I did not have peace after the exploratory surgery and I really did not have total peace after the repair surgery.  But, today, more than ever before, I have peace.

I believe that I am in God's very able hands, I believe He hears our prayers and that this is just a matter of His timing…..His ways are not my ways, and I choose to trust Him.

He knit me in my mothers' womb and He will knit me into healing now….in His time.

Please keep praying…we feel your prayers and love and it makes all the difference.

Just think….when I am finally healed and can finish up graduate school in clinical mental health counseling, I should have experience which will make me a better, more humble, more compassionate counselor…

Love to all of you,

All Praise goes God for the healing He is and will continue to provide for me

Lesa and family

PS.  If you write to my boys, please do not mention my situation.  For obvious reasons, we are not sharing my current status.
