Johnson took the Kentucky Air National Guard Oath to defend and  protect our Nation on June 18, 2014.  It was a grand day.

Poppy stood by Johnson's side as he took his oath....the legacy continues from Grandfather to Grandson

June 7, 2014, both boys graduated form Scott County High School.

And, the ceremony was one which revolved around the pride of our country, made more meaningful as a result of both boys' commitment to serve.

Mrs. Shawver came to see two of her favorite students graduate.  She was the boys' third grade teacher and made all the difference in their lives...
As did "Aunt Sherry"...who took the time to "adopt" my sons and love them through a tough season in their lives.
Poppy and Grammy give out two scholarships to the boys.  One, is the Perry Memorial Scholarship in honor of my Papaw James and Granny Lettie Perry.  All of my mom's siblings contribute to fund the scholarship.  And, they also give out the Millstead Grandchildren scholarship, which Mom and Dad fund.  A great legacy for their grandchildren.
The bakery misspelled Kenton's name, which of course, gave Johnson something to tease him about.
Only God knows where their lives will carry them...but, I have faith it will be to grand places designed by God...who loves them most.
My three babies all grown up.  I could not be more proud of each of you....
The family who celebrates together, stays together...and, we have done a lot of celebrating this year!!
